If you would like to submit an article for the magazine, please contact the Editor, Fiona Hopes
The main thought to keep in mind when writing articles is that there needs to be a balance of informative content and personal experience.
Email the text as a WORD ATTACHMENT. Articles can also be sent on CD – but again, please format them in Word.1,500 words per article.
If you need more than 1,500 words, please contact the Editor.
Two good quality photos or illustrations per 1,500 word article.
PHOTOS need to be sent by email attachment as a HIGH RESOLUTION JPG FILE and must be at least 300dpi, or 3MB. (We cannot take photos from websites).
COPYRIGHT: if sending photos of a person, place or map which are not your own, or if you are using a quote, please get permission to use it and send this to the Editor (preferably by email), plus any acknowledgement the originator would like printed in the magazine.
Reports from Local Contacts should be about 250 words long, and may have a photo.
Please be prepared for your article to be edited if necessary to fit into available space in the magazine, we also may not always be able to return originals. If you need these back, please include a SAE.
The closing date for articles for our next issue is 1st October 2012.
